Their are countless beautiful, major landmarks in France. France is a popular tourist destination, not only for the Eiffel Tower and/or the Luge many people go to see it's beautiful landmarks. Such as the Jura Mountains, the French Alps, the Pyrenees, and the Gorges du Verdon, these are all such amazing landmarks in France, and there are many more.
The Jura Mountains are just north of the Alps, which is along the Swiss border in eastern France. The Jura Mountains lie between the Rhine and Rhone Rivers. The Jura Mountains mostly lie in Switzerland, but a good part of the western sector lies in France. The French Alps are a small portions of the Alps Mountain range that extends from Italy and Switzerland into France. The Pyrenees mountain range separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe, stretching more than 430 km between Spain and France. Along the Pyrenees there are hiking trails and national parks, while dozens of ski resorts can be found on both sides of the Pyrenees. The Gorges Du Verdon,in south-eastern France, is a river canyon that is often considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful. It is about 25 kilometers long and up to 700 meters deep. |
